First Year Student Feelings

Guided by Dr.Irene Hanson Frieze, the First Year Student Feelings lab focuses on the first-year University of Pittsburgh students' emotions, feelings, and overall well-being.

While in the lab as both the project manager and a group member, I applied almost all the knowledge I learned from the research method and related psychology courses. Under Dr.Frieze's supervision, I explored different studies regarding college student behaviors. I was involved with literature reviews, discussions, online survey creation via Qualtrics, codebook creation, and data analysis via SPSS. As a project manager, I coordinated the meetings, served as the note-taker, and had to study other group members' theories and focus to provide support. I also designed the logo and the template for the research posters.
